Our partner is a stable, German-backed international manufacturing group looking for a Spanish speaking Senior AP Accountant who would be a part of the rapidly growing SSC. You will act as a mentor for juniors, an ambassador towards our suppliers, and a driving force behind process improvements.
Job Responsibility
Participate in the migration and stabilization of accounting processes from European entities to the new Service Center (SCE) in Budapest
Verify and process supplier invoices, handle outgoing payments, and manage reclaims and corrections
Take an active role in month-end and periodical AP closing activities
Perform quality checks on invoice processing and actively support internal and external audits
Identify opportunities for process optimization, support change management and regularly update process manuals and work instructions
Maintain professional relationships with business partners and act as an ambassador towards suppliers
Provide professional support and guidance to newcomers and juniors and prepare and conduct onboarding trainings
Ensure strict compliance with agreed service levels (SLAs), policies, and procedures
Requirements
College or University degree, preferably in Economics or Finance with a major in Accounting (or equivalent qualification)
3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) accounting, primarily within the SSC/GBS sector
Strong, working knowledge of SAP and standard office tools
Professional fluency in both English and Spanish
Hungarian language skills are a strong plus
Solid understanding of AP processes and a Continuous Improvement & Quality (CI&Q) mindset
Prior experience in migrations/transitions is a big advantage
Self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain a strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, strong customer orientation, and a proven team-player attitude
Ability/willingness to travel (2 to 6 weeks periods for knowledge transfer- when circumstances allow to do so)
Nice to have
Hungarian language skills are a strong plus
Prior experience in migrations/transitions is a big advantage
