Job Description:

A fitness and wellness platform that combines motion tracking, real-time feedback, and advanced analytics to optimize training performance. The system enables measurement of key metrics such as velocity, power, and force outside of specialized labs, providing users with instant insights during workouts and personalized recommendations afterward. The product serves consumers, athletes, and rehabilitation use cases, and also includes lifestyle features such as nutrition, recovery, and overall wellness.

Job Responsibility:

  • Code, test, implement, and assist in the design of in-house software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements
  • Manage projects from concept to deployment to ensure high standards of performance, reliability, and usability
  • Contribute ideas and help to refine use cases and acceptance criteria
  • Evaluate new libraries, frameworks, and services for suitability
  • Participate in agile development such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with backend developers and designers to integrate APIs and data sources for seamless communication between the Android apps and servers
  • Continuously optimize application performance and responsiveness by keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends
  • Maintain critical problem-solving skills by troubleshooting and ideating innovative solutions to technical issues and/or bugs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience with native app development using Kotlin (Must), Java, Android SDK, Gradle, and Android Studio in an agile environment
  • 5+ years of experience in professional software development
  • Solid understanding of Android Studio and the Android SDK
  • Knowledge of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP, etc.)
  • Participated in the development and release of at least 1 publicly available app to Google Play using automated tooling like Jenkins, Gradle, and Google Developer APIs
  • Working knowledge of RESTful services
