We’re hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer into our Finance & Operations data team, a highly independent team that owns its platform end to end and supports some of Mews’ most business-critical workflows. You’ll evolve the pipelines behind Pigment, our planning and forecasting environment, while building much of our people data capability from scratch. It’s a high-impact role combining legacy refactoring, greenfield build work and the shift from reactive delivery to scalable, IPO-ready data practices. This team underpins finance processes that directly affect billing, reporting and decision-making. It runs a dedicated Databricks platform for sensitive finance and people data and partners across FP&A, accounting, treasury, corporate finance, billing, collections, fraud and investor-facing teams. You’ll turn urgent business needs into durable data products, helping the business move from one-off requests and firefighting toward stronger models, better governance and more self-serve solutions. It’s also a chance to raise the bar on how data is used across Mews by helping non-technical stakeholders understand trade-offs, make better decisions and build for the long term.
Job Responsibility

Build and shape the people data domain, including data models, platform foundations and governance patterns across secure Databricks environments
Translate complex, often ambiguous business needs into practical technical roadmaps
Partner closely with senior finance stakeholders, including directors and VPs, to turn requests into scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes
Balance short-term operational needs with longer-term platform quality, maintainability and control
Help the team reduce reliance on ad hoc firefighting and create stronger foundations for SOX compliance and IPO readiness
Bring structure, clarity and good engineering judgement to a fast-moving, under-resourced environment
Requirements
Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
Strong hands-on capability with Databricks, SQL and Python

Experience operating in scale-ups or other high-growth environments where ambiguity, pace and prioritisation are part of the job
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical work to business outcomes
Confidence working across both strategic projects and operationally important day-to-day work
Nice to have
FP&A, finance or wider business planning experience
Worked on systems or pipelines connected to forecasting, budgeting or financial reporting
