We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to own and scale Bolt's Competitive Intelligence data domain at Rides, Finance. From third-party vendor ingestion to production-grade data models, you'll build the foundation that powers trusted dashboards, high-impact strategic analyses, and data-driven decisions across the business.
Job Responsibility:
Design and maintain the end-to-end data model (raw → staging → intermediate → marts) using dbt, ensuring clear documentation, lineage, and maintainability across all data assets
Develop reusable data products: datasets, models, and metric layers, that power dashboards, analyses, and automated systems across Bolt
Design and manage ingestion pipelines for third-party competitive intelligence vendors (APIs, SFTP, batch files), including schema management, validation, and change handling
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure pipelines are reliable, secure, and aligned with Bolt's data platform standards
Define, standardise, and maintain competition-related KPIs and metric logic to ensure consistent interpretation across analytics and business teams
Optimise warehouse performance and cost efficiency for competition-related workloads, and enable teams through clear metric definitions and documentation
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with dbt (or Dataform) in production environments, including orchestration tools such as Airflow
Advanced SQL skills with a strong track record of building production-grade transformation layers
Experience integrating third-party data sources via APIs or batch ingestion pipelines
Proficiency with modern analytical data platforms such as Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake, including data modelling, performance optimisation, and cost management
Experience designing dimensional data models (fact tables, SCDs, data marts) and strong Python skills for pipeline development and automation
Experience implementing data quality testing, monitoring, and governance practices, with comfort in Git-based workflows and CI/CD
