Job Description:

Senior Analyst role delivering Unix/Linux platform Cybersecurity consultative and operational services to technical customers at HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world.

Job Responsibility:

Delivery of Unix/Linux platform Cybersecurity consultative and operational services to technical customer
Review and assess privilege escalation requests
Review and assess configuration change requests
Review and assess the platform security of servers and appliances
Acquire thorough understanding of process procedures
Effectively communicate with customers, addressing problems and offering solutions
Ensure Service Level Agreements are met
Work within timelines set for BAU tasks and projects
Adhere to group audit policies on security
Identify potential challenges and suggest solutions
Comply with all guideline policies regarding privileges

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any stream, related technical field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 year's Information Technology/Cybersecurity experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Quick learner with an ability to share and transfer knowledge
Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving, be independent and a fast learner
Ability to build and maintain cordial relationship with users, peers and people at all levels using judgment and interpersonal skills
Solid technical knowledge of Linux with an emphasis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Nice to have:

Recent certification on cybersecurity domain
Experience with shell scripting
