Job Description:

The GlobalData Technology team is seeking a Senior Analyst (Consumer Device Ecosystem) to track and interpret developments across the global device and connectivity landscape, including AI integration, eSIM, device components, supply chains, partnerships, and commercial strategies. This is a market intelligence and industry analysis role, focused on generating forward-looking insights for clients, rather than hands-on data analytics or technical data modeling. The role can be either remote or located in one of GlobalData's office locations in London or New York.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build deep expertise in the global consumer device and connectivity ecosystem, including OEMs, telcos, and platform players
  • Produce insight-led research reports and market analysis, translating industry developments into clear implications for clients
  • Conduct primary and secondary research (industry interviews, market tracking, competitive analysis)
  • Contribute to client-facing deliverables, including reports, presentations, and consulting projects
  • Develop thought leadership on key trends (e.g., AI in devices, eSIM adoption, ecosystem partnerships)
  • Engage with media and clients to communicate insights and perspectives on market developments

Requirements:

  • Up to five years of professional experience in industry analysis, market research, or consulting, ideally within the consumer device, telecom, or technology ecosystem
  • Experience interpreting market trends and producing industry insights
  • Experience in consumer devices, telecom, mobile ecosystem, or adjacent sectors strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to translate market developments into clear, commercial insights
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and business models
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing reports, briefings, or thought leadership
  • Comfortable working with data to support insights, but not focused on coding, dashboards, or data engineering
  • Commercial awareness and interest in helping clients identify growth opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
