Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Operational Services team. This team supports both RBC Europe Ltd and RBC London Branch Equities and Fixed Income sales support functions. This role ensures that all daily tasks / controls are completed in line with departmental procedures, whilst also assisting the Associate Director / Director on projects, process improvements or new business initiatives. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Investigate processing issues and recommend a course of action to the Team Manager, assisting in the execution of proposed changes
  • Monitor Middle Office systems (Salesbook, GBOI) and exceptions
  • Be responsible for booking all allocations of Block trades, including CTM, FIX, voice, ALEX, GTC, ECN
  • Ensure all relevant reports and reconciliations are performed, breaks are notated and cleared, then passed for sign off
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and actioning enquiries
  • Provide best in class client services to both internal and external clients, by ensuring their queries are responded to within agreed timeframes
  • To be a point of contact for the Sales/Trade teams and Settlements
  • Escalate unusual behaviour, as well as any processing issues to the Associate Director or above, in a timely manner following the Operations Escalation Policy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within Sales Support and Settlements, within an operations environment
  • Strong knowledge of Equity & Fixed Income products and processes
  • Excellent knowledge of external market systems, such as CTM / Alert / Bloomberg
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective Communicator, both verbal and written

Experience within a Sales Support or Middle Office role
