As a member of the Supply Chain team within Bombardier, you will be part of a dynamic team, responsible for developing commodity strategies, sourcing the right supply base, negotiating contracts and developing and maintaining supplier relationships while optimizing the total acquisition cost. The team is also responsible for the management and implementation of optimization projects and the administration of commercial contracts and agreements with our suppliers in a commodity environment.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Transportation and Customs team to identify best practices and provide recommendations towards strategies
Participate in supporting the development of the commodity, the preparation of business cases and negotiations
Champion key projects and realize cost optimization / savings opportunities
Support the creation of presentations for various management reviews and governance sessions
Maintain a thorough understanding of the market for the commodity
Maintain a thorough understanding of the market for the Production and IGS commodities
Lead results by self or through others while providing coaching
Provides decision support role, working with senior management
Keep abreast on all Customs Regulations by webinars, seminars, reading regulations, WCO, Canada, USA, and UN regulations
Provide training on Incoterms to the Business Units and Lawyers
Responsible to maintain and establish process for CTPAT/PIP/CSA Certification for Bombardier Inc. (Canada)
Lead CTPAT/PIP/CSA Audits. (Self-Assessments)
Provide findings and processes to elevate the compliance degree of Bombardier
Revise Customs Classifications for IGS and Production Products
Responsible/Lead of Customs brokers, Customs Consultants
Revision of BBU Contract clauses for IGS and Production
Responsible for Customs Compliance for Canada and USA
Elaborate and put in place Compliance Customs Procedures for Import/Export from or to Canada
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or the equivalent
Minimum of ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of professional experience in a strategic environment in the manufacturing industry
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills and experience in project management
Strong communicator (English and French), both written and spoken
Strong research and analytical skills
Able to multi-task under a highly demanding and continuously changing environment
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization (from senior management to staff)
Strong team spirit and leadership abilities, and you demonstrate flexibility
Good understanding of operations and financial management
Strong command of MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
Nice to have:
Knowledge of the aerospace industry (an asset)
Knowledge of legal terminology and interpretation of contracts is considered an asset
Knowledge of SAP as an asset
