Job Responsibility:
Establishes processes and infrastructure to capture and house data from relevant sources
Ensures data consistency across reporting media
Makes extensive use of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL, requiring advanced skills
Creates new reporting, and envisions, codes and implements data and report automation tools and processes to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
Analyzes performance and provides summary reports and trending
Identifies and escalates data accuracy concerns for partners to address
Facilitates action-focused/data-centered conversations with stakeholders about opportunities and trends in the data
Contributes to ad hoc special projects
Examines the needs and develops visualizations that support their decision-making process
Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner
Analyzes trends and patterns to identify areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and opportunities for growth
Uses statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modeling to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data
Helps stakeholders make informed decisions by providing insights into potential future outcomes and their associated risks
Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to derive meaningful insights that drive business decision-making
Participates in cross-functional teams, including business managers, marketing professionals, and executives, to understand their information needs and help them make informed decisions
Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data used for analysis
Performs data validation and verification to ensure the data used in the analysis is trustworthy and meets predefined quality standards
Collaborates teams to establish data standards, data quality checks, and best practices for data collection and storage
Explores innovative tools and approaches to improve data analysis and drive continuous improvement within the organization
Seeks opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge through training, certifications, or participation in relevant industry events
Develops and manages Payment Integrity programs, prepay and post-pay
Manages inventory and trend monitoring, financial reporting for the programs, and program development while leveraging the latest technology to control claim costs, maintain administrative consistency and deliver accurate claim policies and procedures
Engender deeper data understanding for the management team through performance analysis, trending, and frequent communication - both in writing and verbally, working collaboratively in group conference calls, direct interactions, and report delivery with audiences that include vendors, partners, operations management and senior management - to foster understanding of performance trends and issues and focus data-centered corrective action that serves as the engine for performance improvement
Analysis efforts include asking questions and investigating to understand datasets, drawing connections between various types of performance data, such as connections between quality, service levels, training, staffing and customer satisfaction, and comparing data across sources
Requirements:
Meet educational requirements (see education section) and/or 0-2 OR 2-5 years of work experience
Able to work out of the Hartford, CT office
Bachelor's or equivalent experience required, 2-5 years experience, anticipated completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program by start date (June 2026)
Have a major in one of the following fields: business, management, healthcare management, finance/accounting, economics, public health, health sciences, leadership studies, marketing, human resources, communications, psychology, or sociology
