Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Technician with a mechanical background to join our Maintenance & Repair (MAR) team based in Columbus, MS. This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America. You will be part of the team to perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft, and functional checking of components.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components
  • Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning
  • Perform troubleshooting on aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls
  • Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work
  • Interface with customer for delivery
  • prepare for delivery inspection

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience
  • Current A&P license OR 18 months of maintenance experience on Airbus manufactured helicopters
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Background in aviation maintenance on like type aircraft and systems
  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (e.g., a U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under existing ITAR license)
  • Physical requirements: Onsite: 90%, Vision, Hearing, Speaking, Equipment Operation, Carrying up to 30lbs/14kgs, Lifting up to 60lbs/28kgs, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking, Travel at short notice
  • Personal Protective Equipment required
