Job Responsibility:

  • Support site management on health and safety issues
  • Establish and implement procedures to support the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the management system and implement modifications when required to reflect changing workplace conditions or comply with new legislation
  • Evaluate health and safety hazards and prepare written reports that include recommendations relating to control measures
  • Develop and maintain health and safety training programs

Requirements:

  • University degree in science or engineering with training in occupational health and safety or industrial hygiene
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding of industrial work processes and legislation pertaining to occupational health and safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well both in a team setting and independently
  • Excellent computer skills
