Senior Advisor, Governance, Policy, Risk

• Lead key elements of the governance, policy, risk and compliance program of work
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement systems and processes that support timely compliance and operational effectiveness
• Enable officers across the organisation to meet internal obligations and policy requirements efficiently
• Identify and manage risks that may impact the organisation’s ability to meet strategic objectives
• Address compliance issues and support enterprise-wide risk management practices
• Utilise a range of information sources to support risk-based planning, reporting, and decision-making
• Provide data analysis and visualisation (e.g., using Excel and PowerPoint) to support initiatives
• Use data to inform strategic reporting, stakeholder communication, and risk management
• Review policy documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility
• Contribute to the ongoing development of governance frameworks and internal policies
• Support communication and training strategies to embed policy awareness and compliance
• Prepare a range of governance, policy, risk and compliance documents including briefing papers, analytical and research reports, and strategic options papers
• Provide advice and analysis on emerging issues and trends in governance, risk, compliance, and policy

• Experience in governance, policy, risk, and compliance in complex, regulated environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and policy writing
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (or willingness to develop skills)
• Ability to develop and review policies and governance frameworks
• Strong stakeholder engagement and program coordination skills with the ability to influence and lead
