At AUTO1 Group, Europe’s leading online car platform, we’re looking for a Senior Copywriter / Senior Copywriting Manager to shape the voice of our brands—Autohero and wirkaufendeinauto.de—across every platform and region, while pioneering the integration of AI-powered content creation tools. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the messaging behind breakthrough campaigns and customer experiences, embrace cutting-edge tools like custom GPTs, and act as a senior creative engine within our ambitious marketing team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create high-impact advertising copy and campaign concepts, grounded in past performance results and tailored to future brand and business objectives
  • Take self-driven ownership of complex, multi-channel copy projects—coordinating with other writers and stakeholders to ensure seamless, on-time delivery
  • Design, test, and refine AI-driven tools (e.g., Custom GPTs), and actively champion their rollout so that all teams can produce brand-compliant copy at scale
  • Translate campaign objectives, brand strategy, and market insights into persuasive messaging frameworks, headlines, and calls to action that move hearts and drive results
  • Leverage existing performance data and A/B test results from analytics and marketing teams, identifying actionable insights and translating them into stronger, more effective copy and messaging approaches
  • Mentor junior writers and freelancers, and collaborate as the go-to copy expert with Brand, Activation, Product, and Digital teams on key projects

Requirements:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on copywriting experience with a track record in advertising, digital, CRM, and cross-channel consumer brand environments
  • Exceptional ability to translate strategic and creative briefs into compelling storytelling, modular copy frameworks, and adaptable content
  • Experience with AI-powered copy/automation tools (e.g., prompt design, Custom GPTs) and a passion for scaling creative excellence with technology
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at a high standard and pace
  • Confident collaborating cross-functionally and mentoring junior talent

  • Fluent German and English (other additional European languages a strong plus)
