Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Actuarial will play a strategic role in supporting CVS Health's International Actuarial team. This position is designed for a leader who can drive business growth through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee forecasting across International segments (SME, Large Group, Government, Canada) and products (Medical, Rx, Dental)
  • Lead monthly reserve processes including adjustments, large claim accruals, and ERR
  • Manage DOS reporting with detailed breakdowns by segment/product, cost category trends, and sales experience
  • Provide benchmarking, RFP assistance, trend surveys, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Translate analytics into actionable insights and present findings to leadership

Requirements:

  • ASA (Associates of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
  • Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years of experience in actuarial or health insurance roles
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Excel, MS Access, and data warehouse querying
  • Proven project management and team leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across departments and independently
