Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious sport and leisure professional to join our team to deliver greater health benefits for people in Slough through the full range of places and partnerships across the borough. The Senior Active Communities Officer role is key to monitoring, developing and promoting participation opportunities in leisure, sports, and physical activities that contribute to the health of our residents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver greater health benefits for people in Slough through places and partnerships
  • Monitor, develop and promote participation opportunities in leisure, sports, and physical activities
  • Work delivered in collaboration with local stakeholders including residents, council colleagues, contractors and local sport organisations
  • Influence the sport and leisure landscape in Slough, helping more people move more every day

Requirements:

  • Experienced and ambitious sport and leisure professional
  • Eye for detail in contract monitoring
  • Ability to influence positive development of sport and leisure sites
  • Ability to liaise on improvement planning and monitor performance data
  • Key liaison between local facility operators, sports clubs, other physical activity providers and council officers
