Job Description

Senior Accounts Receivable Representative Location: Loughborough Shifts: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM Monday - Wednesday on site, Thursday and Friday from home Pay Rate: £19.97 Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable Representative to support daily credit control and collections activities. This role is ideal for someone with solid Accounts Receivable experience who can work independently, manage customer relationships, and help drive timely cash collection.

Job Responsibility

  • Collect outstanding invoices and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Prepare and send customer statements
  • Resolve invoice disputes with customers, sales, and internal teams
  • Perform credit checks and ongoing credit reviews
  • Release orders held due to credit issues
  • Submit invoices through customer portals where required
  • Support cash allocation activities
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and other teams
  • Performing collections on behalf of Danish and Finnish customers but not restricted to these alone

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control
  • Good understanding of collections and credit risk management
  • Strong attention to detail and administration skills
  • Confident communicator with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transactional environment

Nice to have

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems and EDI
  • Credit management or accounting certifications
  • Proficiency in Danish or Finnish is preferred
