Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will oversee critical aspects of credit management, accounts receivable processes, and cash applications to ensure efficient financial operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement credit policies that align with corporate goals and objectives
  • Perform regular reviews of customer credit limits and terms to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Design strategies to establish credit lines for high-risk customers while minimizing financial exposure
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections to achieve optimal turnover rates and timely payments
  • Assess potential losses and determine appropriate levels for loss reserves to safeguard company finances
  • Oversee cash application processes to guarantee accurate and efficient posting within the system
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with members of the credit and financial community to exchange valuable information
  • Analyze financial and business data of customers to support sound credit decisions
  • Utilize computer-based credit management systems to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and maintain customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar systems is required
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating customer financial data and credit decisions
  • Excellent negotiation abilities to manage credit and collections effectively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work proficiently with computer-based systems for credit management
