As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will work closely with our dynamic Accounts Payable team, directly reporting to and supporting the Senior Manager in this critical department. This role touches on every aspect of the payment cycle process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all things Accounts Payable.
Job Responsibility:
Process and verify invoices and check requests accurately and efficiently with 3-way matching
Ensure proper routing, coding, and approvals are in place for all financial transactions
Execute high-volume data entry and meet the demands of monthly closings
Perform vendor and General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations with precision
Execute full-cycle vendor payments while maintaining policy compliance
Run audits to ensure payment accuracy and safeguard against discrepancies
Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and internal teams
Assist in creating month-end accrual and reconciliation documentation
Handle purchase price variance reviews and ad hoc analyses while supporting management requests
Prepare monthly reporting and year-end compliance tasks
Contribute to team success through cross-functional training within the department
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or related finance role
Expertise in SAP
Hands-on knowledge of PO/3-way match reconciliation processes
Strong skills in Excel for managing extensive datasets and maintaining detailed records
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, excelling in environments requiring data reconciliation and detail orientation
A proven track record of delivering quality work in high-volume, deadline-driven settings while maintaining excellent organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate cross-departmentally
