NXTGEN are excited to be working with a well established and highly respected firm, known for delivering a personal, relationship led service to a diverse client base. This is a Senior Accounts Manager position offering real responsibility, autonomy and influence. As the Senior Accounts Manager you will head up a substantial client portfolio while working closely with partners to support client strategy, team development and the continued growth of the firm. The Senior Accounts Manager will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner managed businesses, SMEs and corporate clients across a range of sectors. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing high quality accounting, tax and advisory services, while also supporting and mentoring the wider team.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services
  • Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations
  • Overseeing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT compliance
  • Leading client meetings and acting as a key point of contact for ongoing advice and support
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and add value to client relationships
  • Managing workflow across the team, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
  • Reviewing work prepared by managers and senior staff prior to partner sign off
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of the accounts team
  • Working closely with partners on business development and strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Significant experience working within an accountancy practice ideally at manager level
  • Strong technical knowledge across general practice services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive, client focused mindset
