We are seeking a highly organized, autonomous, and experienced Senior Account and Payroll Executive to manage the entire finance and accounting function for our growing holding company based in Mount Austin, Johor. This is a crucial, hands-on sole contributor role ideal for someone ready to take full ownership of the accounting cycle, compliance, and payroll while directly supporting senior management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full-Set Management: Take complete ownership of the full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
  • Month-End Closing: Lead the efficient and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and finalize monthly management reports, financial statements, and supporting schedules for executive review
  • Statutory Compliance: Manage all aspects of statutory reporting, including liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries for annual returns and tax submissions
  • End-to-End Payroll: Execute the full payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely calculation of wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions
  • Statutory Deductions: Ensure compliance with all required statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and timely submission to relevant authorities
  • HR Support: Assist in general HR administration duties related to new hires, employee changes, and termination processes
  • Daily Operations: Handle daily finance operational tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) monitoring, bank reconciliations, and expense management
  • Cash Flow: Monitor and report on daily and monthly cash flow position and assist in managing bank accounts and facilities
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve internal accounting processes, documentation, and operational efficiency within the finance function

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in full-set accounting and payroll management
  • Proven ability to manage a full set of accounts independently and execute a complete payroll cycle accurately
  • Strong command of accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines
