Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares payroll processing - error checking, adjustments and other tasks for weekly hourly payroll
  • Knowledge of local collective agreement for payroll purposes
  • Processes accounts payable and receivable
  • Process and manage accounts payable
  • Prepare and support rules for various corporate and statutory filings: CNESST, T4, RL1, GST/HST/QST
  • Participate in period closings
  • Prepare working documents for internal and external audits and financial presentations
  • Participate in the budget process
  • Compliance with company rules
  • All other related tasks

Requirements:

  • post-secondary education in accounting or a business-related discipline
  • Approximately 5 years experience in payroll and accounting
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system
  • Languages: fluent in French and English
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
