Job Description:

Our client is searching for an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to play a key role in managing their accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This permanent position reports directly to the Controller and is critical to ensuring reliable reporting, streamlined processes, and ongoing compliance for our organization.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and help manage the full-cycle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) process
Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, 1099 reporting, and expense (T&E) management
Conduct complex account reconciliations, ensure GAAP compliance, and support audit activities
Work with the Epicor Kinetic accounting system to facilitate accurate accounting processes
Manage and process client billing, track outstanding invoices, and drive timely collections and cash application
Oversee multi-entity aging reports for accuracy, including related party transactions
Generate comprehensive financial reports and statements, including detailed cash flow analysis and AR KPIs
Support the month-end close process, cash management, and financial reporting requirements
Utilize Excel to organize, analyze, and present financial data
Collaborate with operations and other departments to gather data for proper invoicing and cash application
Provide guidance and support to entry level accounting staff as needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required
At least 3 years of progressive experience in AP/AR
Exposure to construction or manufacturing environments highly preferred
Strong proficiency in the Epicor Kinetic accounting system
Demonstrated expertise in managing full-cycle AR/AP and multi-entity environments
In-depth knowledge of reconciliation processes, GAAP, and relevant accounting regulations
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
Ability to work accurately, independently, and with excellent attention to detail and process improvement
