Job Description:

A large, well-established organization in Hudson County, NJ is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to C-level leadership, offering the opportunity to drive process improvements, enhance reporting, and lead key accounting functions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Lead month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Drive financial reporting and support senior leadership with actionable insights
  • Optimize cash flow management, including forecasting cash and monitoring liquidity
  • Oversee and track capital expenditures (CapEx)
  • Develop and implement KPIs to improve operational and financial performance
  • Prepare and analyze AR aging reports and recommend collection strategies
  • Manage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842
  • Ensure strong internal controls and support audit processes
  • Partner cross-functionally and present financial insights to executive leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong background in AP, AR, and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with ASC 842 (lease accounting)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and optimization
