Job Description:

We are working with a rapidly growing biotechnology company based near Trumpington, focused on advancing innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact on global health. With expanding operations in the US, they are strengthening our finance team to support continued growth and ensure high standards of financial reporting and compliance. They are seeking a qualified and detail-driven Senior Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. This position will play a key role in financial reporting, audit support, and process improvement, with a strong emphasis on US GAAP alongside UK statutory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and support reconciliation to UK GAAP / IFRS
  • Lead balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audits
  • Partner with US stakeholders to ensure alignment on accounting policies
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial processes
  • Support implementation of new accounting standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified
  • Strong experience with US GAAP (essential)
  • Experience within a multinational or US-facing business
  • Prior experience in biotech, life sciences, or a regulated environment is advantageous
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP system experience desirable
