Job Description:

Jana Chapman with Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance Team within a prominent healthcare organization in Vancouver, Washington. This position plays a key role in financial accounting, budgeting, and performance reporting, while collaborating closely with clinical and operational departments to develop financial models and projections. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and supporting internal controls and audits.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies
  • Monitor and investigate financial variances, providing actionable insights and detailed performance reports to leadership
  • Manage the annual budget process by coordinating with clinical and operational leaders to develop production, revenue, and expense projections
  • Maintain fixed asset records, oversee asset acquisition processes, and ensure proper tax treatment of assets
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to reduce risks related to financial misstatements and fraud
  • Support external audits by acting as a subject matter expert for areas of responsibility
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of financial software applications to streamline processes and serve as a backup application coordinator
  • Conduct financial analyses to help management understand operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to project labor-related expenses and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Provide guidance and expertise to executive leadership on financial modeling and forecasting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
  • At least five years of progressive experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis within a large organization
  • Proven expertise in managing budgets and financial projects for businesses with multiple departments and substantial revenue
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software for performing detailed analyses and generating reports
  • Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and tools, including NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively present financial data and recommendations
