Job Description:

This position will serve as the right hand to the Controller/CFO and have opportunity to grow with the company.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assisting with the closing procedures at the end of each month
Preparing adjusting journal entries for the CFO to review
Recording transactions and preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in the general ledger
Reconcile bank accounts daily to maintain a live cash balance and match statements with reconciliation reports monthly
Accounts payable/receivable backup and leadership
Oversee processing and post invoices and draw requests
Educate accounting staff, project managers, and other team members on products/software that support the accounting software
Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equal in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in accounting operations, financial analysis, and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
