We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Stillwater, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organization’s overall financial health.
Job Responsibility:
Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of accounts payable tasks
Generate and distribute customer invoices while monitoring aging reports and following up on overdue accounts
Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and apply incoming payments to the correct accounts
Accurately process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee payroll records, including deductions and benefits
Update and reconcile the general ledger with precise journal entries and regular balance sheet reviews
Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure all closing tasks are completed within deadlines
Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
Develop and analyze weekly and monthly cash flow projections to support financial planning
Collaborate with leadership to ensure adequate cash reserves and provide recommendations for financial strategies
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation
Proficiency in reconciling accounts and performing bank reconciliations
Familiarity with cash flow forecasting and financial planning techniques
Advanced skills in accounting software and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all financial processes
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines effectively
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
