We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Irving, Texas. This position offers an opportunity to apply your technical accounting expertise to critical General Ledger (GL) projects, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards and enhancing financial accuracy. Job Responsibility:

Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Evaluate and enhance current accounting processes to align with U.S. GAAP standards and industry best practices
Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance, including ASC standards, to operational workflows and financial reporting
Document findings and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial compliance and efficiency
Implement corrective measures and process improvements to strengthen accounting controls and documentation
Conduct variance analysis and account cleanup to address discrepancies and maintain financial integrity
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to communicate findings and support sustainable improvements
Ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across GL activities and financial statements
Work independently on assigned projects, managing priorities and delivering results within set deadlines

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP standards, including ASC 606, ASC 740, ASC 815, and ASC 842
Strong experience with General Ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
Proven ability to analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies with attention to detail
Familiarity with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes
CPA designation or equivalent certification is required
Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with a strong aptitude for navigating complex data
