Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position will play a vital role in managing financial processes, including month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, has a solid foundation in accounting, and is eager to contribute and grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of financial data
Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, recommending corrective actions
Analyze and maintain balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepaid expenses
Provide support for external audits, including financial statement audits and bank audits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in updating documentation
Partner with operations teams to address accounting needs across multiple manufacturing facilities
Record daily cash transactions and support treasury and cash management activities
Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to streamline reporting processes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas
Strong understanding of key accounting principles, such as accruals and prepaids
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Commitment to working in an office environment
A proactive work ethic and a strong sense of ownership over responsibilities
