Join a stable, essential-services provider in a key accounting position. We are a premier multi-modal transport provider, responsible for millions of passenger journeys across Australia each year. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our established finance team based in Adelaide Hills. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique balance of high level financial strategy and operational management. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be a key pillar in a collaborative team of eight, ensuring our financial health as we continue to move Australia forward.

Job Responsibility:

Lead End of Month processes, journal preparation, and comprehensive reporting
Manage balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and provide deep financial analysis to support business decisions
Oversee tax obligations including BAS and payroll tax, ensuring adherence to Australian accounting standards
Provide oversight for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions
Contribute to cost modelling, tender processes, and the implementation of new financial systems

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting/Commerce and a completed CA/CPA (or currently undertaking)
At least 2 years of experience in a hands-on corporate accounting role
Previous experience in transport, logistics, or bus services is highly desirable
Advanced MS Excel proficiency
experience with Great Plains (GP) or Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial
A can do attitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously
