Job Responsibility:

Oversee all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with leadership on grant management, budgeting, and financial reporting
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Assist with annual audits, donor reporting, and compliance requirements
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with nonprofit organizations
Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting
Proficiency with nonprofit accounting software (e.g., Blackbaud, QuickBooks Nonprofit, Sage Intacct)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
