Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction accounting principles, job costing, and financial reporting. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting project managers, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform job cost analysis and track project budgets vs. actuals
Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Support project managers with financial insights and reporting
Implement and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or working toward CPA preferred
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in construction or project-based accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300 Construction, Viewpoint)
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
