We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Handle month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to uphold data integrity
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and balances
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and reporting requirements
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
Assist with the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to optimize processes
Support the Controller in managing critical accounting tasks during peak periods
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries accurately
Solid understanding of bank reconciliation processes
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Familiarity with accounting software and tools for efficient workflow
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
