Senior accountant at a leading global entertainment company. Responsibilities include general accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Manage period-end closing, including deliverables, P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, and variance analysis
Adhere to the close calendar and support timely completion of divisional month-end tasks
Coordinate treasury functions for assigned entities
Serve as a point of contact for the US treasury team, providing requested information
Oversee cash balances, accounts, and facilities, including intercompany reconciliations and fund settlements
Contribute to maintaining a strong internal control environment compliant with territory requirements and SOX
Assist the Senior Manager in ensuring accurate balance sheet reporting, reviewing reconciliations and footnote disclosures, and providing updates to Finance partners
Support the Senior Manager with ad hoc analysis for APAC leadership and Finance teams, and address internal queries across departments
Collaborate with the technical team to resolve system report issues and escalate concerns to management
Accurately address reporting inquiries from various stakeholders
Work with team members to reconcile variances and implement necessary adjustments
Participate in global/department initiatives like system migrations and account reconciliation harmonization
Assist with statutory reporting processes
Prepare and draft statutory accounts for local entities
Support the annual strategy for meeting all statutory requirements within deadlines, utilizing internal and external resources
Proactively manage internal audits and external filing, providing updates and escalating issues to the Senior Manager
Support annual statutory Financial Statement audits for various legal entities
Facilitate coordination between auditors, Controllership, and local outsourced accounting firms to maintain a statutory reporting calendar for subsidiaries
Review local intercompany invoices and service fee allocations for Global teams
Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with company policies, best practices, and US/local GAAP
Support statutory reporting and compliance efforts
Regularly interact with offshore accounting teams within a matrix structure
Requirements:
Strong technical experience including experience of month end management accounting for revenue and cost
US GAAP reporting and SOX experience
Experience of multi-site and multi-currency reporting
Minimum 3 - 7 years of experience in accounting
High level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient to fluent in English
CPA preferred or working towards to accounting qualification
