Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with a highly regarded Oxford-based accountancy firm that is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys reviewing work, developing junior staff and building relationships with clients, while still retaining some hands-on involvement with accounts preparation. The role has been created as part of the firm’s continued growth and expansion of an existing client portfolio, offering the opportunity to step into a visible and valued role within a collaborative and supportive team.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a small portfolio of clients
Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
Preparing accounts for smaller assignments where required
Supporting managers and directors with client delivery
Acting as a key point of contact for clients
Training and mentoring junior and senior members of the team
Supporting the wider accounts team during busy periods

Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
Strong experience within accountancy practice
Experience reviewing accounts and supervising staff
A genuine interest in mentoring and developing team members
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
The confidence to work with clients at a senior level
