Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Kansas. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring balances are accurate and up-to-date
Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to resolve discrepancies promptly
Oversee month-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports
Utilize Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis and financial modeling to support decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
Train and mentor less experienced accounting staff to foster skill development and growth

Requirements:

Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations, with a strong attention to detail
Solid understanding of general ledger operations and journal entries
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
