Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Cypress, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review month-end journal entries and reconciliations to ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and internal policies
Maintain and verify the accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements by investigating variances and resolving discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for external audits, including financial, tax, and workers’ compensation audits
Research and resolve complex accounting issues to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with relevant regulations
Apply lease accounting standards by preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring proper classification and reporting of lease obligations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and other key accounting tasks to support a timely and accurate financial close
Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to the enhancement of audit procedures and reporting processes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm or 4 years of relevant accounting experience in private industry
Advanced knowledge of U.S. accounting standards, including GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel
CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it is preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft AX and D365 is a plus
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous
Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution industries is desirable
