Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Beaverton, Oregon on a part time basis. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in accounting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the high-tech engineering industry, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct detailed reviews of journal entries, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached and accurate
Evaluate invoices prior to payment to confirm proper coding and compliance with company standards
Perform thorough reviews of account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
Assess expense reports for adherence to company policies and accurate reporting
Raise concerns and flag irregularities during financial reviews for further investigation
Support the preparation and execution of month-end close processes
Assist in reviewing and improving general ledger entries to ensure accuracy
Collaborate on miscellaneous accounting projects as needed to support the team

Requirements:

Strong experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general accounting processes
Previous experience as a Staff or Senior Accountant in a corporate setting
Proficiency in handling month-end close processes and account reconciliations
Ability to review financial documents meticulously and identify discrepancies
Solid understanding of general ledger and bank reconciliation procedures
Skilled in using Excel for financial tracking and task management
Experience working in large company environments with complex accounting structures
