We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Frankfort, Kentucky. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with various departments to manage accounts, analyze financial data, and support decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Oversee the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are properly recorded
Reconcile accounts and bank statements to maintain financial accuracy
Monitor cash flow management and provide insights to support financial planning
Prepare and analyze cost accounting reports to aid in operational decisions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
Conduct thorough reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrections
Support audits and provide necessary documentation for compliance purposes
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to streamline operations
Assist management with budgeting and forecasting activities

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Experience with bank reconciliations and cash flow management
Expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis
Familiarity with reporting standards and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively across teams
