Job Description:

This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting, while thriving in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and post journal entries as part of monthly close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Reconcile and maintain sub-ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts, verifying their accuracy
Investigate discrepancies in account balances and resolve posting issues to maintain financial integrity
Conduct detailed financial analyses and prepare comprehensive reports for management
Assist in the preparation of financial, procedural, and tax audits, ensuring compliance with regulations
Manage bookkeeping activities related to general expenses and lease vehicle/premise reporting
Develop and continuously improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional financial needs and projects
Handle ad-hoc accounting duties and special projects as assigned to meet organizational goals

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required
A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to month-end close and general ledger activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, is essential
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial analysis techniques
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
