Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Fulltime Consultant to join our team with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support finance transformation, system optimization, and day-to-day accounting and reporting functions. This individual will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, enhance system utilization, and deliver actionable financial insights.

Job Responsibility

  • Support core accounting functions including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within financial systems
  • Partner with FP&A and controllership teams to deliver timely and actionable insights
  • Serve as a functional resource for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Business Central)
  • Support system configuration, troubleshooting, and user support
  • Assist in system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to optimize workflows and reporting capabilities
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using D365 and integrated tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve system efficiency
  • Drive standardization and documentation of key finance processes
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements
  • Assist with cross-functional projects related to ERP transformation or finance modernization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of finance/accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Business Central)
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, financial reporting, and close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, or other reporting/automation tools
  • CPA or progress toward certification
  • Experience in a consulting or project-based environment
