Job Responsibility

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support renewal of business and contractor licenses
  • Assist in recording construction‑related financial activity, including loans, home closings, and land/lot purchases
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
  • Participate in process improvements and help enhance internal controls
  • Coordinate with software vendors on system maintenance and recommended updates
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold a professional, team‑oriented environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience
  • construction industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time‑sensitive, confidential tasks in a fast‑paced environment
