Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical accounting operations within the healthcare industry. Located in Tacoma, Washington, this role will focus on key accounting activities such as month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Prepare and review journal entries to maintain proper financial records
Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure alignment and accuracy
Collaborate with the accounting team to address discrepancies and improve processes
Utilize Workday and Excel for financial reporting and analysis
Support general ledger maintenance and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Assist in identifying and resolving accounting issues as they arise
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial operations
Maintain documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including month-end close and reconciliation processes
Proficiency in using Workday software and advanced Excel skills
Ability to prepare and review journal entries with high attention to detail
Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks
Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team environment
