Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing key accounting functions and supporting the organization’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will contribute to strategic initiatives and collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the month-end close process, including reviewing and analyzing financial results
Prepare and review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Create detailed internal and external financial reports and analyses as needed
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely month-end reporting
Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting team members to support their development
Support capital budgeting and expenditure planning to align with organizational goals
Collaborate with external auditors and facilitate the delivery of requested documentation
Conduct research on complex accounting issues and develop policies to address them
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting function
Assist with partnership tax filings, including the preparation of K-1 forms

Requirements:

A minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, with preference for candidates with Big Four backgrounds
Proficiency in month-end close processes, journal entries, and general ledger management
Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to analyze complex data sets
Experience with internal controls and conducting accounting research
Strong technical expertise in accounting areas such as revenue recognition and business combinations
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Active CPA license is highly desirable
