Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Northwest Houston area. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing full-cycle monthly accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in QuickBooks Online and intermediate proficiency in Excel.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee all aspects of monthly accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
Perform thorough account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain data integrity
Monitor and manage fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations
Handle month-end closing procedures to finalize financial statements
Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage financial transactions and reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices in all processes
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows
Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making
Maintain organized and comprehensive documentation for audit and reporting purposes

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on full-cycle accounting
Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
Experience with fixed asset management, including depreciation schedules
Advanced skills in QuickBooks Online and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights
