Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role is integral to maintaining our company’s financial integrity and involves tasks such as preparing consolidated financial statements, analyzing account reconciliations, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring robust analytical skills and a proven track record in industries like transportation, manufacturing, or distribution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly financial statements, including Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Oversee the execution of monthly accounting closure processes in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow assessments to support strategic decision-making
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and audits with both internal and external auditors
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation of accounting and reporting procedures
  • Ensure strict adherence to corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls
  • Deliver insightful financial performance analysis, covering trends, metrics, and benchmarks
  • Manage special projects and provide flexible support to meet dynamic business needs
  • Actively contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is strongly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in accrual-based accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Hands-on experience with payroll processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with industries such as transportation, manufacturing, or distribution
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
