Job Description:

A food and beverage manufacturing company in Vista is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of complex accounting functions tied to production, inventory, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting, operational collaboration, and improving systems as the business grows.

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation
Oversee inventory and cost accounting processes
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Analyze production variances and margins
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Lead audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Mentor junior accounting staff
Improve accounting processes and documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
6+ years of progressive accounting experience
Manufacturing or food production experience strongly preferred
Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
ERP system experience and advanced Excel proficiency
CPA or CPA-track a plus
