Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance standards. You will play a key role in overseeing accounting tasks and supporting the organization’s financial health.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close processes, including preparing and analyzing financial statements
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions
Conduct account reconciliations for balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
Handle bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed
Support accounts payable processes, including invoice entry and validation
Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and assist with related filings
Assist in preparing detailed financial reports for management review
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance accounting procedures and workflows
Monitor financial data to identify and address potential discrepancies or irregularities

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes
Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Experience with accounts payable processes and systems
Understanding of sales tax regulations and compliance is preferred
Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
