We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Independence, Ohio. This is a long-term contract role that requires someone with strong attention to detail, expertise in fixed assets, general accounting, and month-end closing processes. Job Responsibility:
Oversee and maintain fixed asset accounting records to ensure accurate reporting
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Lead month-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards
Monitor and record accruals, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve processes
Prepare financial reports and analyses to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies
Provide support for audits by preparing and organizing required documentation
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Expertise in fixed assets
Expertise in general accounting
Expertise in month-end closing processes
Proficiency in fixed asset accounting and management
Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end close procedures
Expertise in preparing and posting journal entries
Experience with account and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accrual accounting and related reporting
Ability to work on-site daily in Independence, Ohio
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
