Our client, in the Construction industry, is in need for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, budgets, and reporting processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their accounting experience, whether they're a Staff Accountant looking to take the next step to a Senior, or a Senior Accountant that is looking to continue growing their overall skillset as the client is in growth mode.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in collaboration with the Controller
Reconcile company balance sheets to maintain financial accuracy
Record month-end adjusting entries and ensure proper documentation is organized and accessible
Assist with generating monthly financial reports and key performance indicators
Work closely with department managers to address financial needs and ensure compliance with established guidelines
Develop and refine company policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Support the preparation of budgets by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold high standards
Foster a positive and supportive work environment within the accounting department
Stay current with industry practices through ongoing development activities and networking opportunities

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
Minimum of five years of experience in financial accounting
Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries
Strong skills in account reconciliation, including bank and balance sheet accounts
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, x-lookups)
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Nice to have:

familiarity with Intacct and Service Titan is a plus
